Teaching and raising gifted children will humble you in the funniest ways...
Me: “Go brush your teeth.”
Her: “My teeth are in my mouth… and my toothbrush is right here. Why did you tell me to go?”

And honestly…she’s not wrong. It’s not backtalk. It’s not defiance. It’s a brain noticing, questioning everything, and processing language in the most literal, logical way possible.
These moments reminded me:
What sounds like “attitude” is simply just advanced thinking trying to make sense of the world.
So yes…she brushed her teeth…right where she was.
Sharing a few more giggles from my week! We all need a laugh so I’d love to hear your hilarious stories in the comments!

And this is my face constantly...
